2018 GMC Canyon All Terrain X - Tow Mirrors
Fabulous customer service! They patiently answered my questions on several calls for ordering, specific feature and eta for arrival. So far great quality mirrors with many extras; I was worried at first that they might be too "big" for my smaller truck, but it didn't turn out to be the case. I was over the moon that I could get the painted caps with the amber dotted light (not smoked) options to give it the look that they could have been "OEM" and put on when the truck was built, but still with the diversity of offering interchangeable parts if I wanted to change it up.
canyon tow mirrors
i think they are absoultly FANTASTIC!!!!! glad i purchased them!!!!
Great to work with
I received my order very quickly, unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to install them yet but I will update as soon as I do
Efficient ordering, fast delivery and careful customer follow up. Very satisfied so far. The weather hasn’t allowed me to install yet, so will update after I do.
2016 Colorado CrewCab LB Duramax Gulf Coast Area
Mirrors arrived on time, well packaged with all parts included. Installation was straight forward with the help of Boost's TWO great YouTube video specific to the Colorado/Canyon, one for mechanical and one for electrical. Would have much preferred plug-and-play wiring harnesses and would have paid extra for them (up to $50) had they been available, do not like T-Taping OEM wires, I like to keep my vehicles OEM systems stock and unmolested and dependable as much as possible. I also wrapped all the Boost wiring harnesses in electrical tape before installing them and then used just a bit of dish soap to lube the boost harnesses and the holes made in the gromets to allow them to easily pull through. That said wiring was not too difficult when following the YouTube video, I did deviate from the video on fishing the wire through the door hinge flexible gromets, I had difficulty getting the gromets back in on the chassis sides, ended up removing the mudflaps and a few star screws near the front door holding the wheel liners in place and was then able to obtain access to the chassis side of the gromets to seat them back in place from the wheel wells. It's been about two weeks since install. Mirrors are rock steady, no vibration even at 80mph. These mirrors do increase the wind noise a bit at highway speed but it's not noticeable when windows are closed. I tow a 24' x 9' work boat on a dual axle trailer. With the stock mirrors I could not see much, but now with the Boost Mirrors my field of view is greatly increased and I can see around the trailer and see if there is a vehicle behind my trailer, I can also see my trailer tires. The price made me hesitate a bit, seems to me similar mirrors for full-size trucks are much less expensive. However, I decided the additional safety of adding tow mirrors was necessary, and if already spending so much, the additional costs of the convivence lighting features were worth it. I have only driven maybe twice in the dark since installing these, I like the increased visibility the spotlight option provides to the sides when backing and how the sides of the truck are lit up when locking and unlocking with the FOB. I'm unaccustomed to having the red blinker lights in my mirrors, I think they are a great safety feature however when using the blinkers at night they are quite bright and going to take some getting used to. The Lower Convex mirrors are great, they cover my blind spots and I can see the trailers tires, while some have said that on the Colorado/Canyon the passenger side lower mirror view is obstructed by the design of the door, I find that limited to just about an eighth of that mirror in the lower inside corner, however I'm 6'3" with a 32" inseam so I sit "tall in the saddle" compared to most, in-fact I can't fit in the modern full sized RAM trucks, even with the seat back and all the way down my head is touching the headliner, same with the new Wranglers. Others may have more of the lower passenger side mirror obstructed. All in all, I'm pleased, the only neg so far is the high price, but I was aware of the price before purchasing so I don't feel it's fair to deduct any stars from the rating for that. Would I buy them again for another Colorado/Canyon? = Yes Would I option them the same way? = Yes
