How to Remove and Replace Your 2015+ Style Chevy/GMC Tow Mirror Lower Glass

The instructions below will cover the removal and replacement of GM 2015+ Style Lower Glass on 2015-2019 OEM or 1988-2019 GM aftermarket Chevy and GMC tow mirrors. This procedure applies to OEM mirrors, Boost Auto Parts Mirrors, and other aftermarket mirrors. If your lower glass is broken or shattered on your towing mirrors, this simple procedure will resolve that issue in just 5 minutes.

Safety glasses and gloves should be worn at all times while performing this procedure.
Step 1:
Angle the upper glass down as far as it will go.
Step 2:
Snapping Style
If the glass on your mirror has these tabs around the mount, your lower glass will simply snap off.
Screw Style
If the glass on your mirror has NO tabs, your lower glass must be broken before it can be removed.
To do this, please reference our install video or technical manual.
Step 3 (Snapping Style):
Snap the lower glass off by placing your fingers behind the lower glass and pulling away from the mirror.
Step 4:
Snap in the new lower glass by aligning the glass with the mount, then apply pressure evenly to the center portion of the glass with the palm of your hand.
Your Installation is now complete!
