If you choose Signal Only it will only work as a flashing amber signal.

If you choose Sequential Signal Only it will only work as a scanning amber signal.

Further explained, if you just have the running lights on the light will be a solid amber strip. If you activate the turn signal while the running lights are on the solid amber light will turn off, and the amber light will flash. After the signal turns off the amber light will turn back on. If your running lights are off the amber signal light will flash like a normal signal.

Our Lumastep M2 powered running boards come with a few different harnesses to make installation as easy as possible. 

• Lighting Functions: You can select between a plug-and-play adapter or our hardwire harness. These harnesses tap into each headlight, allowing the turn signal and running lights to function properly. If you purchase the rock light function, we offer an optional harness with a switch to gain the feature or you can simply power it with any 12V switch (you can use an existing rock light switch if you have it in your vehicle).
• Power Retracting & Extending: This is wired into your vehicle's existing computer network so you don't need to add any magnets or ancillary switches to control the boards! All wiring and taps are included, and your OBD port will NOT be restricted as we tap into the computer network directly.

If your truck is equipped with Fixed LED or Halogen Headlights you must hardwire the lighting features using our easy to install harnesses.

Our plug-and-play adapters are only offered for trucks with OEM Adaptive LED Headlights.

Halogen headlights will use an incandescent bulb which tends to have a yellow beam pattern. LED headlights will have a cool white beam pattern. Please reference the below graphic depicting the visual difference between Halogen and LED headlights.

There are two configurations of LED headlights on 2021+ Ford F-150 trucks. Please reference the below graphic depicting the visual differences between the two configurations.

Fixed LED Headlights will have 4 front-facing lights that are stacked in a 2 x 2 configuration.

Adaptive LED Headlights will have 2 large front-facing lights that are stacked.

Yes, our Lumastep M2 Powered Light Up Running Boards are Retractable & Extending. 

Our Powered Light Up Running Boards use auto retract and auto deploy technology that allows the boards to automatically deploy when the doors are opened and automatically retract when the doors close. 

The driver-side doors will auto-deploy/retract the driver-side step while the passenger-side doors will auto-deploy/retract the passenger-side step. 

Our Lumastep M2 Powered Running Boards will mount the same way as your factory power steps. However, you must still wire the lighting features and the power motors as per our detailed installation video. 

All necessary harnesses and hardware will be supplied with your order based on the options you select.

Super Cab (also known as extended cab) trucks allow for rear seating without a full-size rear door. Super Crew trucks allow for rear seating with a full-size rear door. Super Crew trucks offer a larger cabin area than Super Cabs. Please review the below graphic depicting the difference between styles of cabins.

Our powered running boards are built with durable 6000 Series Aerospace Grade Aluminum. Once installed on your truck, our running boards are rated for up to 600 lbs per side!

The rock light feature will allow you to enable the white running board lights at any time! This allows the white lights to turn on and stay on, even when the truck is off.

The rock light feature overrides the rest of the functions of the board such as the running light and turn signal. This means that the signals will not illuminate when activated if the rock lights are on. If your running boards are equipped with amber running lights, the rock lights will illuminate white, overriding the amber color.

You do NOT need to drill holes in the frame of your truck. Our mounting brackets will simply bolt onto your truck's frame at the designated mounting points as shown in our installation video.

All components are designed with weather-proof sealed connectors and critical components are completely potted, to ensure they can withstand any rain, snow, dirt, or mud that may get in the way during your most adventurous trips!

Our Lumastep M2 Power Light Up Running Boards are offered for Super Crew trucks as well as Super Cab trucks.

Super Crew trucks will receive an 85" Light Up Running Board.

Super Cab trucks will receive a 71" Light Up Running Board.

Absolutely, our boards are equipped with pinch-sensing technogy for additional safety. This means that our boards will stop retracting if it is sensed that pressure is applied to the board while it is retracting.

Yes! You can keep the steps manually deployed by putting them into cleaning mode. To put them into cleaning mode, simply open the door so the steps deploy. Once deployed, stand on top of the boards and close the doors. The steps will briefly attempt to retract, but once they feel the weight of you on the board it will recognize that and the boards will go into cleaning mode. Once in cleaning mode, the boards will stay deployed until the doors are open and closed again.

Please note, the procedure noted above is the only way to keep the boards manually deployed.

Our puddle light feature activates a white light that turns on when your doors open and boards deploy, illuminating the surrounding ground, and automatically turns off when the door closes and the boards retract. This will work regardless if the vehicle is on or off.
