After installation, the cargo lights can be activated in any gear including drive. This includes the cargo lights on the mirrors (if equipped), along with any cargo lights in the third brake light. On certain applications, your bed cargo lights will also illuminate.

For safety reasons, the cargo button must be pressed and held for the cargo lights to remain active.

The indicator light on the switch itself (if equipped) will NOT illuminate, however, the cargo lights in the mirror (if equipped) and third brake light cargo light will be illuminated. On certain applications, your bed cargo lights will also illuminate.

On certain applications, the cargo lights can be enabled or disabled while the vehicle is in gear, however, the lights will remain inactive until the vehicle is in park.

While using our harness, you can inadvertently activate the cargo lights and leave them in the "enabled mode" which will then turn them on and leave them on when placed in park. The lights will time out after a period of time and will not kill the battery, however, it is always a good idea to tap the cargo switch one additional time when you are done using it to ensure the cargo lights are disabled.

Yes, you can, just stagger the taps on the shared wire on the BCM.

No, the cargo lights in the mirrors must be operational in park prior to the installation of this harness for the harness to work properly.
